For years, I kept pushing past my limits, driven by enthusiasm and the sky-high expectations I had—often unconsciously—created for myself. My nervous system was on high alert, my patience was wearing thin, and I no longer recognized the woman, mother, and friend I wanted to be in the mirror.

My turning point came when I decided to listen to that one sentence that kept echoing: something isn't right here.

I discovered that my body wasn't an obstacle to be tamed, but my most reliable compass. I felt deep down that I needed to explore four fundamental layers within myself. Not because I was 'broken' and needed fixing, but because I wanted to understand what lay at the root.

I delved into my hormonal balance, because after years of using the pill, I no longer knew my own natural cycle. I examined my gut health, which symbolized everything I literally and figuratively couldn't digest. I looked my fears in the eye; deep-seated insecurities dating back to my childhood that were blocking my femininity. And finally, I rediscovered my voice. Literally, by understanding the hoarseness and the tears during singing as a call to express who I truly am.

While everyone's path is unique, these were the areas where my own nervous system was calling for attention:

• Restoring my hormonal flow: Shifting from fighting my body to moving in harmony with my natural cycle.
• Listening to my second brain: Understanding what my gut was trying to tell me about my mental peace.
• Reclaiming safety and connection: Healing old wounds to feel free and safe in my own body and femininity again.
• Liberating my authentic voice: Finding the courage to let myself be heard, both literally and figuratively.

It was my inner six-year-old girl tugging at my sleeve, reminding me of my dreams. She gave me the strength to believe that we can reprogram ourselves if we are willing to listen.
