It’s a safe way to blow off steam without consequences for others. Only once that initial explosion has passed and the fog in your mind clears, is there room to look at what’s actually hiding beneath the anger.
For a long time, I was afraid of the 'angry girl' inside me because her outbursts used to overwhelm me. But by no longer judging that emotion and giving her space instead (with a heavy dose of rock 'n' roll), that fear turned into kindness. I finally understood why she was so angry and was able to forgive myself. From suppressed emotion to liberation and self-compassion. That is the true power of this track for me.”
